In this talk Nello Cristianini will discuss with social scientist Justin Lewis what this analysis can tell us about what stories people read and why and how the media can be used both as an indicator and director of public awareness and human emotion.

Centre for Public Engagement

The CPE supports and promotes public engagement with research and teaching across the University. This involves running programmes of public talks and festivals, and helping academics to engage with the public by working with them to attract funding, providing appropriate training and facilitating collaboration with partners outside the University. We share ideas about public engagement with other universities through the National Coordinating Centre for Public Engagement.
